Trautman has the size to become a solid Y tight end in the NFL, coming in at 6' 5'' 255 lbs. He doesn't have ideal speed, with a 4.8 40 time, but he has the traits needed to overcome it. He has great hands and the ability to catch the ball in traffic and is a solid route runner. Trautman was very productive in college but that was in part because he was going up against low-level competition and it will take him time to transition to the NFL. He isn't a great blocker but will need to improve in that area because his skillset makes him a fit as a Y tight end which requires blocking. Overall, Trautman has the receiving upside to become a solid starter in the NFL but it will take time as he transitions to the NFL and he will need to improve his blocking in order to fit as a Y tight end.

Analytics-Based Prospect Grade: N/A
