Cesar Ruiz
C, Michigan
Draft Projection: Rounds 1-2
NFL Comparison: Travis Frederick
Ruiz has a great initial quickness and fast hands that allows him to win his matchups early and he is able to maintain his lead using his immense lower body strength and tremendous awareness against potential moves by the defender. He was incredibly consistent throughout college, which is perhaps the most important quality in an offensive lineman because one bad play can wreck an entire drive, game, or even season. Ruiz is equally as good in the run game using a similar technique, and his athleticism allows him to make an impact on the second level. His one major concern is that he doesn't have incredibly quick feet, but when considering all of his other strengths that isn't a major problem. Overall, Ruiz is a combination of athleticism and technique and should become a very good starter despite the fact that he doesn't have very quick feet.
