Ferrell has prototypical size, strength, and length for an NFL defensive end. Ferrell is a complete defender who is good against the run and the pass and was very productive in college. In the NFL, he might not be able to get to the quarterback as much as he did in college because his pass rush can take a long time to develop and at that point the quarterback would have already thrown the ball. Against the run, Ferrell does a great job setting the edge and preventing the running back from bouncing outside. Ferrell is an ideal fit as a 4-3 defensive end. Overall, Ferrell is a complete player who will be able to become an early starter and he seems like he will be a good but not great player in the NFL.
