Savage is an undersized safety with tremendous coverage ability. He has a high football I.Q. along with great instincts and quickness. Teams will be concerned about his small frame, as he will not be as physical as most other safeties in the NFL and could be an injury risk. Savage’s small frame also limits his abilities as a run defender. Despite his limitations, Savage will be a chess piece for a creating defensive coordinator, as he can be moved all over the field to cover different players. Overall, Savage is an undersized cover safety who will be able to start in some sort of coverage role depending on the scheme he enters and he should eventually develop into a versatile coverage safety.
