Williams is a long, press cornerback who has the size and speed to cover any player in the NFL. He is incredibly athletic, and that gives him immense potential. Williams isn’t incredibly sudden in his coverage, which some teams might not like, and at times he struggles to find the ball in the air. A big concern with Williams is that he lacks short-area burst and physicality which could seriously impact his chances at becoming an elite coverage corner, especially considering the fact that he loves to press. Another massive concern with Williams is the fact that he is horrific in run support. Having a corner who is almost incapable of doing anything to defend the run puts teams at a severe disadvantage when the other team runs the ball. Even though run support isn’t incredibly important for cornerbacks, Williams is such a liability that some teams may not even consider him when drafting. Overall, Williams has elite potential but he comes with a ton of red-flags.
