Dobbins is a solid running back with the power, balance, and vision to produce on the next level. One of Dobbins's greatest strengths is his acceleration, enabling him to burst through the line and be very effective as a one-cut runner. It also enables him to accelerate into contact and break tackles, especially considering his balance. Dobbins is most effective on inside runs and though he has shown the ability to be a good receiver, he needs to improve his route running to become a consistent receiving option. Dobbins has potential to be solid on outside runs because he has the speed to get around the edge but he always looks to turn upfield too quickly. Overall, Dobbins has the tools to become a solid running back on the next level but will take some time to develop.
