Chinn has a very diverse skillset with the size, speed, and athleticism to do many things. He is very good in man coverage and is capable of covering tight ends and slot receivers. Chinn is also very good as a tackler, whether that's in run support or tackling somebody after they make a catch. He also has good ball skills and if capable of taking the ball away. Chinn has trouble when standing in the middle of the field and anticipating what the quarterback is going to do and when multitasking, as he has poor field awareness. That limits his upside but he is still capable of doing many things. Overall, Chinn is capable of doing many things well but his poor field awareness limits his upside, making his ceiling that of a high quality starter and his floor that of a slightly below average starter.
