Williams is a very big, long, press-man corner who could be used to cover big receivers and possibly tight ends. He is very aggressive which will help him to cover bigger players. Williams’s biggest issues are his lack of speed and inconsistent ball skills. With proper coaching, his ball skills should improve but the lack of speed could prevent him from becoming an elite cornerback in the NFL. Because of his speed, Williams will likely be forced to cover mostly big, slower players. One way Williams could be used is to cover elite receiving tight ends. Guys like Travis Kelce are notorious for being too big to be covered by a safety and too fast to be covered by a linebacker, but Williams is big enough (6’ 4’’) and fast enough (4.55 40 time) to cover them. Overall, Williams’s size and traits should be able to make up for his lack of speed, and that should make him a good starter in the NFL as a player who covers big receivers and some tight ends.
