John Simpson
G, Clemson
Draft Projection: Rounds 2-4
NFL Comparison: Kelechi Osemele
Simpson is built like a prototypical guard and has the strength to be very effective in the run game. Simpson can run fast for a guard, making him very helpful on pulls, screens, and runs that get to the second level. In the pass game Simpson isn't as good, as he is slow out of his stance which gives defenders a head start and causes him to get beat. That can be fixed to some extent, but he isn't going to become one of the best guards in the NFL in the passing game. Overall, Simpson is great in the run game and can move to help with screens, pulls, and runs on the second level, but he will struggle in the passing game.
