Jordyn Brooks
LB, Texas Tech
Draft Projection: Round 2
NFL Comparison: Dont'a Hightower
Brooks is fantastic against the run, and his athletic traits suggest that he could have been even more productive in college with some improved technique. He has sideline to sideline speed (4.54 40 time) and is very quick. On top of that he has solid instincts which allow him to do very well against the run. Brooks' issue is in his coverage, where he has struggled throughout his career. He has the speed necessary to improve and become better in coverage, but it will take time for him to develop. Overall, Brooks is a great run stopper and has the potential to become a game-changer but until he improves his coverage skills he will likely be stuck in a situational role.
