Murray is the favorite to be the top pick in the draft, whether he is taken by the Cardinals or the Raiders trade up to get him. Murray is an outstanding quarterback with very few flaws. He has A+ arm talent and is very accurate. He always hits his receivers in stride and can make every throw in the book. He is also an incredibly mobile player, and though he didn’t run the 40 yard dash, he’s rumored to be capable of running a 4.3. Murray will be one of the best running quarterbacks in the NFL the second he steps onto the field. He also does a great job sliding and avoiding hits, so his small frame shouldn’t be an issue. The only drawback to Murray is his height, as he checks in at 5-10. Since he is so short, teams are concerned that he may not be able to see over the offensive line. I don’t think this should be an issue, however, because there have been successful short quarterbacks in the NFL such as Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, and Baker Mayfield, and it never seemed to be an issue at Oklahoma. Overall, Murray is an incredible prospect because of his combination of speed, accuracy, and arm strength, and he should be one of the NFL’s best players for years to come.
