Lloyd Cushenberry
C, LSU
Draft Projection: Rounds 2-3
NFL Comparison: David Andrews
Cushenberry has the prototypical body type to be a starting center and has very good strength that will enable him to be very effective against defensive tackles, particularly against the bull rush. Cushenberry is best against the pass, rarely allowing the opposing defender to get pressure on the quarterback, and that's even more impressive when considering that he was blocking 1-on-1 much more at LSU than he will in the NFL. Against the run Cushenberry is also very effective but has trouble blocking in space due to his lack of lateral quickness. Overall, Cushenberry should be able to become a long term starter at center because of his strength, technique, and body type despite his lack of lateral quickness.
