Baun is a linebacker who is capable of playing on both the inside and on the edge, making him very diverse and a fit for pretty much every scheme. He has the athleticism to be an effective pass rusher on the edge but lacks the size to do it full time. Baun has some issues with his technique as a pass rusher but they can be corrected to make him more effective. When playing on the inside, Baun has sideline to sideline speed (4.65 40 time) but has some problems tackling, but those are correctable. He is aggressive against the run which is good at times but can be used against him in order to get a big play so he will need to learn when the best times are to be aggressive. In coverage Baun is capable of covering running backs and tight ends but has some issues with technique that can be fixed. Overall, Baun is very athletic and has the ability to do anything necessary for a linebacker, but he is still pretty raw and will need to be developed before reaching his full potential of becoming a Pro Bowl-caliber player.

Analytics-Based Prospect Grade: 92.45
