Aaron Rodgers

QB, Packers

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

The Packers didn’t add any receiving help for Rodgers and traded up in the draft to get his replacement. The new offense under Matt LaFleur will be run heavy with Aaron Jones, second round pick A.J. Dillon, and Jamaal Williams. Rodgers really doesn’t have anyone to throw to other than Davante Adams, so it will be very hard for him to produce on a consistent basis. Last season Rodgers had 4,002 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns, and 4 interceptions along with 183 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown. Unfortunately, based on the direction this offense appears to be moving, it doesn’t seem likely that Rodgers does any better and there is a good chance that he puts up worse numbers. If the run game begins to falter, a guy like Aaron Jones gets injured, or the Packers are going up against a team with a great run defense and/or bad pass defense the Packers could revert to passing more often, in which case Rodgers could put up a lot of points. He shouldn’t be drafted as a starter but can be a good guy to put in for good matchups, so he is worth drafting with a late-round pick
