Amari Cooper

WR, Cowboys

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Amari Cooper will be the top receiver in one of the best offenses in the NFL and should be very productive next season. Cooper was good last year, with 79 receptions for 1,189 yards and 8 touchdowns. Many are concerned about the addition of CeeDee Lamb cutting into Cooper’s workload, but Lamb is a rookie so he won’t be an elite player this year. The Cowboys also lost Randall Cobb and Jason Witten, so there are targets for Lamb to take without affecting Cooper. The biggest concerns with Amari Cooper are his inconsistencies and injuries. Last year Cooper had many different injuries that likely contributed to his inconsistent play, but we saw at the beginning of the season what Cooper can do when fully healthy. In his first five games Cooper had 32 receptions for 512 yards and 5 touchdowns (102 receptions for 1,638 yards and 16 touchdowns over the course of an entire season). Of course, with all of the injury concerns Cooper has had in his career it’s safe to assume he won’t be fully healthy for the entire season. Nonetheless, if Cooper can get luckier with injuries than he did last year he has amazing upside, but he does come with obvious risk.
