Carson Wentz
QB, Eagles
Wentz is an elite talent with one of the best receiving cores in the NFL. Everybody saw how good he is in 2017 when he was the clear-cut MVP before tearing his ACL. Wentz wasn't great last year, but that's because he was still recovering from his torn ACL. It usually takes a year, Wentz isn't an outlier. Now Wentz is fully recovered from his ACL and seems to be fully recovered from the back injury that cost him the end of last year, so he should be able to return to his 2017 form. Couple that with an elite receiving core that added DeSean Jackson, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, and Dallas Goedert to the 2017 Eagles and along with the addition of Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard to help the overall offense improve and Wentz has top-2 upside. Wentz has injury concerns, but if he misses some time there will be plenty of options on the waiver wire that can fill in for a few games. Quarterback is the one position where injuries aren't a massive deal (unless it's Patrick Mahomes). Overall, Wentz has the opportunity to become one of the best quarterbacks in fantasy and even if there are some injury concerns he is worth drafting as the sixth quarterback off the board.
