D.J. Chark

WR, Jaguars

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

D.J. Chark had a breakout year last season with 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and 8 touchdowns. It’s worth noting that late in week 14 Chark suffered an ankle injury, missed a game, and wasn’t the same player for the rest of the year. Through his first 13 games Chark had 65 receptions for 956 yards and 8 touchdowns (80 receptions for 1,176 yards and 10 touchdowns over the course of the season). Chark should take another step forward this year as he continues to develop and has top-5 upside due to his athletic ability. At the same time, Chark is somewhat risky because he is on a terrible team and the Jaguars added Laviska Shenault and Chris Thompson to the offense, but those shouldn’t be major problems. The brightside to being on a bad team is that the Jaguars will be losing a lot of games so they should pass the ball a ton, giving Chark lots of targets. Shenault is a rookie so he won’t command a large target share and Chris Thompson will likely just take targets from Leonard Fournette, not Chark. Overall, D.J. Chark is a bit of a risk, but he has very high upside and is worth drafting in the fourth round, though you could probably get him in the fifth.
