Dalvin Cook

RB, Vikings

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Dalvin Cook is going to be the lead back for the Vikings now that Latavius Murray is gone, making him a true workhorse. He was outstanding at the start of his rookie year before tearing his ACL, and he was very good last year when he played. Now Cook will be completely healed from the ACL and he will be ready to receive a full workload, giving him top-5 upside. The Vikings have stated that they want to run the ball often, meaning Cook may be in line for 300+ touches next year. The main concern with Cook is the fact that he has missed a ton of time with injuries in his first two seasons, but that doesn't make him an injury concern. The torn ACL doesn't make him any more likely to get injured in the future, and it's not a predictive injury, as it was purely bad luck. Last year Cook missed time with a hamstring injury, but that is now fully healed and doesn't make him more likely than anybody else to get hurt, so Cook's injury concerns are being overblown. Feel confident drafting Cook in the second round.
