Daniel Jones

QB, Giants

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Daniel Jones was very inconsistent as a rookie (four games of over 36 points and eight games of under 20 points in 6-point passing touchdown leagues last year) and ended up with 3,010 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, and 12 interceptions along with 274 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns in 12 games as a starter (4,013 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, and 16 interceptions along with 365 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns over the course of an entire season). Those are incredibly good numbers for a rookie, especially when considering that he didn’t have a single game with Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate, and Darius Slayton all healthy. If Jones can take the second year jump that most quarterbacks take and his weapons can stay healthier, he could easily have 4,500+ yards and 35+ touchdowns with fewer interceptions on a much more consistent basis. Jones does come with risk because he was so inconsistent last year and you need consistency from your quarterback, but he has tremendous upside, so he is worth drafting late in the draft and pairing with another quarterback.

Analytics-Based Projected Points: 275.2
