Davante Adams

WR, Packers

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Davante Adams had a good year last year, coming in with 83 receptions for 997 yards and 5 touchdowns in 12 games (111 receptions for 1,327 yards and 7 touchdowns over the course of an entire season). Adams started the year off slow, which contributed to him not having the monster season many people expected him to have. That slow start can be largely attributed to the fact that Adams was playing in a brand new offense, however, and it can take some time to get used to a new offense and start to click. Once Adams got used to the offense and was fully healthy, he was fantastic last year. In Adams’s final 11 games (including the playoffs because the playoffs are predictive of next year for Adams), he had 85 receptions for 1,097 yards and 7 touchdowns. That paces out to 124 receptions for 1,595 yards and 10 touchdowns over the course of an entire season. Those are elite fantasy numbers for a wide receiver and what we can expect Adams to get next year because the Packers didn’t add anybody to the receiver group. Overall, Adams has the upside of being the top receiver in fantasy this year and should be able to fish in the top 5 with ease as long as he avoids injury, so he is worth drafting late in the first or early in the second round.
