James Conner
RB, Steelers
Conner was great when he played last year, but there is reason to believe he won't be as good next year. The main reason is that Jaylen Samuels is going to be a major part of this offense as the main receiving back, meaning Conner might not get as large of a workload. Conner is still the main goal-line back, but he got incredibly lucky last year because the Steelers always seemed to have players get tackled on the one-yard line, allowing Conner to punch it in. His touchdowns will definitely regress to numbers similar to those Le'Veon Bell had when he was a Steeler: around 7-9 touchdowns a year. Despite this Conner should still be a good fantasy option because of the loss of Antonio Brown. The Steelers simply don't have the receivers to fill that void. Juju is great, but he had a ton of targets last year. He won't be able to handle all of those targets plus those that Brown had. The Steelers will likely compensate for the loss of Brown by running the ball more, so Conner will still be a good option in fantasy. Overall, Conner's receiving production and touchdowns will regress next year, but he will likely have more rushing production so he is still a good pick in the second round.
