Jonathan Taylor

RB, Colts

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Jonathan Taylor is extremely talented and should be able to find success in the NFL right away, especially considering the fact that he will be running behind arguably the best offensive line in the NFL. He will be sharing work with Marlon Mack to some degree, but Taylor is a more talented, explosive player than Mack so he should be able to be the starter within the first few weeks of the season. The Colts will likely be using a run-first approach this year, with Phillip Rivers no longer the same player he once was, so Taylor should get a lot of work even if Mack cuts in a little bit. Taylor also offers more as a receiver than Marlon Mack, and though Nyheim Hines is there and will take some receiving work, Taylor will be involved in the passing game. Even if Taylor isn’t getting 300+ touches he will have monster upside because he will likely be a very efficient runner given his size, speed, and the offensive line he will be running behind. Overall, Jonathan Taylor may be a little risky because he will be sharing the backfield to some degree, but his upside is off the charts as an incredibly young, talented running back with a fantastic offensive line, so if you are looking for an upside pick, Taylor is worth drafting in the early fifth round.
