Josh Allen

QB, Bills

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Josh Allen was a top-10 fantasy quarterback last year and now has the chance to take a third-year jump and have a breakout season. Allen is one of the most athletic quarterbacks. He’s as big and fast as Cam Newton and has probably the strongest arm in the NFL (even stronger than Patrick Mahomes’s). Allen’s problem is that he is very inaccurate, and that’s demonstrated by his career completion percentage of 56.3. If Allen can improve his accuracy in his third year, he has the chance to become one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. The Bills added Stefon Diggs to the receiving core, so Allen should be more productive through the air. In addition, he has top-3 rushing upside for a quarterback, as he was third in the NFL in rushing yards amongst quarterbacks last year with 510 yards and first in rushing touchdowns amongst quarterbacks with 9. Overall, Josh Allen’s athletic ability coupled with the arrival of Stefon Diggs give him great upside and he still has a relatively high floor because of his rushing ability, so he is worth drafting in the eighth round.

Analytics-Based Projected Points: 272
