Julio Jones
WR, Falcons
Julio Jones is one of the best receivers in the game, and he is easily the favorite to lead the league in receiving yards. Jones has been an elite fantasy receiver since 2014, making him one of the safest receivers in fantasy. Jones is going to get a ton of yards, but catches (in PPR) and touchdowns are more important, and Julio isn't great in either area. In terms of catches, Jones has only three seasons in his eight-year career in which he has caught over a hundred passes, and in each of those seasons he finished with over 1,500 yards. Jones seems more likely to have around 1,400 yards and 80-90 catches this year, which is still great, but not as good as the top-two receivers. In terms of touchdowns, Jones has only finished a season with double-digit touchdowns once (10 in 2012) and didn't score a touchdown for the first half of the season last year. It's puzzling why he doesn't score a lot because nothing about Jones makes you think he would struggle with touchdowns, but he has struggled nonetheless. Overall, Jones is a safe option at receiver and will gain a ton of yards, but his struggles with catches and touchdowns prevent him from entering the top tier of receivers.
