Kerryon Johnson
RB, Lions
Kerryon Johnson was incredible when he played last year. He averaged an astonishing 5.4 yards per carry and gained 854 total yards in 10 games. That ends up being 1,366 over the course of 16 games. Now, the Lions are going to rely on the ground game more than ever, so Johnson is going to be able to build on his strong performance last year. The Lions cut Theo Riddick as well, meaning Johnson is going to be the primary third-down back. The issue with Johnson is that he's not a full workhorse. Both he and the Lions have said that he will not be getting the full workload, and that was backed up by the fact that C.J. Anderson is on the roster. Anderson will likely be the goal-line back, preventing Johnson from scoring a ton of touchdowns. On top of that, the Lions don't have a great offense so scoring opportunities might not come often. Despite that, Johnson is a very talented player who should get the majority of the work in a Lions offense that's going to rely on the run this season.
