Marlon Mack
RB, Colts
Marlon Mack is the clear workhorse for a Colts offense that is going to be running the ball a ton now that Andrew Luck has retired. The Colts have one of the league's best offensive lines and a receiving core good enough to prevent defenses from focusing on stopping the run, putting Mack in a good situation. A common argument against Mack is the fact that Nyheim Hines is in the backfield as the main receiving back, but that's not true. In the playoffs, Mack had more catches than Hines, who didn't record a single reception. Once Mack had established himself as the best running back, the Colts started to use him in the passing game. The main concern with Mack is that with Andrew Luck gone, the offense will have difficulty moving the ball, preventing him from scoring touchdowns. On top of that, even though the Colts have a receiving core good enough to keep defenses from focusing on Mack, if their quarterback situation is super bad, defenses will begin to focus on Mack regardless of the receiving core. This would lower his efficiency. Overall, mack is a rare workhorse in today's NFL, but the offense will struggle without Luck, so he isn't as good a pick as he would have been with luck on the field.
