Noah Fant

TE, Broncos

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Noah Fant had a solid rookie season with 40 receptions for 562 yards and 3 touchdowns. It’s very hard for rookies to produce in the NFL, especially tight ends. Fant’s rookie season was actually very similar to George Kittle’s, and we all know how good he turned out. Fant should take a jump this year and has the athleticism to become one of the NFL’s best receiving tight ends. The issue with Fant isn’t with his actual playing abilities, it’s with the fact that there may be too many mouths to feed in Denver. The Broncos still have Courtland Sutton and Phillip Lindsay and they added Melvin Gordon, Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, and Albert Okwuegbunam. The latter three are all rookies, so they will have difficulty producing a ton this year. The thing is that they will likely end up combining for around 1,500 yards. In addition, the Broncos will be running the ball more with Melvin Gordon now there. Fant may end up being a great talent, but he won’t get the targets necessary to be an elite fantasy tight end. The talent alone makes him worth drafting as a low-end starter, but don’t expect a top-5 season.
