Pat Freiermuth
TE, Penn State
Draft Projection: Rounds 2-3
NFL Comparison: Hunter Henry
Pat Freiermuth is a big bodied, strong receiver at tight end. He doesn’t have incredible speed, but Freiermuth is certainly fast enough to get the job done. Freiermuth is a solid route runner who is consistently able to box defenders out and make contested catched using his big frame. He has great hands and has demonstrated the ability to make one handed catches on numerous occasions. Freiermuth is a good but not great blocker, but he has the upside to improve in that area. He is best suited to play the traditional Y tight end role in an offense. Overall, Freiermuth isn’t an incredible athlete, but he is fully capable of becoming a reliable starter in the NFL.
