Asante Samuel Jr.
CB, FSU
Draft Projection: Rounds 1-2
NFL Comparison: Malcolm Butler
Asante Samuel Jr. is slightly undersized, but he has very quick feet, good eyes, and incredible ball skills. He does a great job reading routes and has the anticipation to get in the proper spot to make a play on the ball. Samuel is sometimes simply too small to cover a receiver and they catch the ball over him, but that can be avoided by keeping him on receivers who aren’t significantly taller than him. He is best in off coverage and has the versatility to play either outside or in the slot. Samuel is also solid against the run, Overall, Asante Samuel may be on the smaller side, but he has plenty of skill and he should be able to become a quality starter in the NFL.
