Greg Newsom is a very good all-around player with the size and speed to develop into a good starter in the NFL. He is good in press coverage as well as Cover 3 and quarters. Newsom has great ball tracking skills and phenomenal speed (4.38 40 time). He always seems to find himself in the right position on deep throws. Newsom has good footwork and is fluid on vertical routes. He doesn’t have explosive short-area burst, but his instincts allow him to anticipate throws well. Newsom does have some problems with pass interference in press coverage, but those are fixable. Overall, Greg Newsome has the ability to become an immediate starter and the upside to develop into a good CB1 in the NFL.
