Jayson Oweh
Edge, Penn State
Draft Projection: Rounds 1-2
NFL Comparison: Danielle Hunter
Jayson Oweh is raw, but he is extraordinarily fast (4.36 40 time). Oweh is explosive out of his stance and has demonstrated some good moves, but he often relies on his athleticism rather than pass rush moves. The result is that Oweh wasn’t as productive as he should have been in college, though he was able to disrupt many plays. Oweh isn’t incredible against the run, but he can use his length to overwhelm blockers and has the speed to get to runners quickly. He at times gets too high and can get overpowered inside. Overall, Jayson Oweh is raw and has some weaknesses, but he has the upside to become an elite pass rusher on the next level due to his incredible athleticism.
