Kenneth Gainwell is a very fast, elusive runner who possesses surprising power. He is a fantastic receiver out of the backfield who is capable of lining up in the slot. Gainwell is a threat to score whenever he touches the ball, as he can use his elusiveness and power to get to the second level and is then capable of winning a footrace against most defenders. He has very good vision as well, as he consistently finds the best holes as a runner. Gainwell’s biggest issue is his size. He is only 194 pounds, which is tiny for a running back. That makes him an injury risk and will make it hard for him to handle a ton of touches. Because of that, Gainwell is capable of being a great change of pace and/or 3rd down running back, but he won’t be an RB1.

Analytics-Based Prospect Grade: N/A
