Nick Bolton is slightly undersized but has great speed and quickness, making him a balanced linebacker. He has the lateral quickness to get around blockers and is a good, powerful tackler. Bolton also has great instincts against the run and is a phenomenal blitzer. He is great in man coverage, demonstrating the athleticism to match up against both tight ends and running backs. Zone coverage is a major problem for Bolton, however. He doesn’t have great instincts in coverage and is late to find open throwing windows. Overall, Bolton is very good in almost all aspects of the game, but he needs to improve in zone coverage. If he can improve in that area, he can become a high-impact starter in the NFL.
