Penei Sewell is an athletic freak with all the upside in the world. He is huge but still possesses quick feet and strong hands. Sewell’s quickness gives him the ability to block even the fastest edge rushers. He is able to bend and drop his weight as well. In the run game, Sewell is special. He has the strength to destroy blockers at the line of scrimmage and is a great option to pull for specific runs. Sewell isn’t the most polished tackle, however. At times his hands can get too wide and he can lose his balance in the run game. These problems are very coachable, however, so they shouldn’t strongly deter teams from drafting Sewell. Overall, Penei Sewell has incredible upside, but he will need to be polished once he gets to the NFL.
