A.J. Brown

WR, Titans

A.J. Brown is a great all-around receiver, but it’s difficult to know how much volume he’s going to get. Brown managed to finish as the 7th best receiver in PPR points per game last year despite only 106 targets. And he did that on two bum knees that he ended up getting surgery on. After the season ended, Brown said that most players would’ve been done for the year after week 2 with his injuries, but he played through them. And he still managed to put up an incredible season. Just imagine what he could do when he’s healthy. The issue with A.J. Brown is that there seems to be too many mouths to feed in Tennessee. The Titans are a run-first team with Derrick Henry in the backfield, which is why Brown only had 106 targets last year. They brought in Julio Jones but lost Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith, so Brown won’t see fewer targets than he did last year. Now that he’s healthy, he’s actually likely to get significantly more targets. Jones and Henry will make it very hard to cover A.J. Brown, which will help his efficiency, but he still isn’t going to see elite volume. You can expect maybe 140 targets for A.J. Brown, which is good, but still limits his upside. For that reason, Brown isn’t an elite fantasy receiver, but he’s still a good option who will likely have a career year now that he is fully healthy.
