Aaron Jones
RB, Packers
Aaron Jones has been great for multiple years now, and since Aaron Rodgers is coming back, Jones will be right back in the discussion with the top-5 running backs. Now that Jamaal Williams is gone, Jones should be even more involved in the passing game. Williams had 80 targets last year, and while A.J. Dillon is still going to take work from Jones, Dillon isn’t much of a pass catcher, so Jones will take most of the work left behind by Jamaal Williams. Dillon is more of a short-yardage runner, so Aaron Jones might lose out on a few goal line carries, but expect Aaron Jones to still be the primary goal line back because he’s so good close to the end zone. Overall, Aaron Jones is still in a committee with A.J. Dillon, so he doesn’t have the elite touch upside that many top running backs have, but he’s proven to be so consistently efficient that he’ll still be a top running back. Jones is worth a first round pick regardless of format and will be a great RB1 for your fantasy team.
