Antonio Gibson

RB, Washington

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Antonio Gibson has incredible upside, but he also comes with a fair amount of risk. The guy is 6’ 2’’, 220 lbs, and runs a 4.39 40 yard dash. He’s an athletic freak. He also only had 77 touches in college, so he’s very raw. Gibson showed last year that he is a fantastic player when the ball is in his hands, the issue is how he’s going to be utilized. J.D. McKissic is the main receiving back in Washington. So Gibson’s receiving upside is relatively low despite the fact that he’s a good receiver. Gibson also dealt with turf toe last year and it’s still bothering him. There’s a decent chance that he ends up re-injuring that toe and misses some time. If he badly re-injures it, he may need surgery and miss a ton of time. But, if he can stay healthy and he becomes a three-down running back, Gibson has top-5 upside. Overall, Antonio Gibson is a risky player but he has incredible upside. Be cautious drafting Gibson super high, but he could massively pay off down the stretch.
