Dallas Goedert

TE, Eagles

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Dallas Goedert is going to be the top tight end for the Eagles now that he has started to outperform Zach Ertz. There were plenty of rumors that Ertz was going to be traded, which would have shot Goedert’s value up. He would have been considered a very high-end option. The Eagles didn’t end up trading Ertz, however, so Goedert should be viewed as a TE2. Goedert had 46 catches for 524 yards and 3 touchdowns in 11 games last year. That ends up being 67 catches for 762 yards and 4 touchdowns over the course of 16 games. Goedert gets plenty of catches and yards, but the issue is the touchdowns. Goedert’s career high in touchdowns is 5. That’s simply not good enough to make him a TE1. Goedert has also had injury problems throughout his career, as he has only played one 16 game season in his career. Overall, Dallas Goedert will be a solid option, but since Zach Ertz is staying he shouldn’t be seen as a TE1.
