Darren Waller

TE, Raiders

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Darren Waller had an incredible year last season with 107 catches for 1,145 yards and 9 touchdowns. Waller is the top receiving threat for the Raiders and gets a ton of volume. He saw 7.3 targets per game in 2019 and 9.1 in 2020. Many expected Waller to regress last year, but he did just the opposite and put up even better numbers than before. He has been very consistent over the last two seasons with at least 10 PPR points in 22 of his last 32 games and at least 15 PPR points in 10 games last year. Waller is more valuable in PPR because he gets an obscene number of targets and catches, numbers that are only rivaled by Travis Kelce. He’s still valuable in standard, but due to the fact that his touchdown and yardage numbers are closer to George Kittle than Travis Kelce, his value definitely takes a hit. Overall, Darren Waller is an elite option regardless of format and is worth a mid-2nd round pick.

Standard Analytics-Based Projected Points: 163.2

PPR Analytics-Based Projected Points: 268.7
