Ja’Marr Chase

WR, Bengals

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Ja’Marr Chase is an incredible player with a ton of upside, even as a rookie. Let’s now forget that Chase was the top receiver in an LSU offense that featured Justin Jefferson, who just broke the rookie receiving record. If Chase is better than Jefferson like he was at LSU, he certainly has the ability to do something insane this year. Chase is in a great situation, as the Bengals throw the ball a ton since they’re always losing and he’s playing with Joe Burrow, who he went to LSU with, so he already has established chemistry with his quarterback. The Bengals proved to be a receiver-friendly offense with Tee Higgins last year, as Higgins had 67 receptions for 908 yards and 6 touchdowns last year, and that was with Joe Burrow out for a large portion of the year. Chase is a better player than Higgins and has a healthy Joe Burrow, so he should be able to do great things. Chase is a little risky because, obviously, the translation of college players into the NFL can be unpredictable and it takes some players longer than others to adjust to the NFL. But, ultimately, players like Chase don’t come around often and usually work out, so he seems primed to have a good year with incredible, Justin Jefferson-level upside.
