Joe Burrow

QB, Bengals

Joe Burrow had a great rookie season before getting hurt. In 9 full games, Burrow had 2,485 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, 130 rushing yards, and 3 rushing touchdowns. Those numbers equate to 4,418 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, 231 rushing yards, and 5 rushing touchdowns over the course of 16 games. Those numbers are phenomenal for a rookie quarterback, especially when considering how little help Burrow had. The Bengals didn’t do a ton to improve their atrocious offensive line, but they did enough to make it better than it was last year. Cincinnati also added Ja’Marr Chase. Chase played with Burrow at LSU and was the WR1 even though Justin Jefferson was playing alongside him. The two have proven chemistry and the addition of Chase should help take Burrow’s game to the next level. When you add in the fact that Burrow is almost certainly going to take a step forward as he gains more experience in the NFL, and he has elite upside. The issue with Burrow is that he’s risky because he is coming off a bad injury and hasn’t proven that he can be an elite quarterback as of yet. Nonetheless, Burrow is worth a mid-round pick as a low-end QB1 or high-end QB2 with top-5 upside.
