Logan Thomas

TE, Washington

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Logan Thomas had a great season last year and finished as the number 3 tight end in PPR. Washington’s offense has undergone some changes with Ryan Fitzpatrick taking over at quarterback and the addition of Curtis Samuel, which might hurt Thomas’s production. Fitzpatrick is more of a deep ball passer than Alex Smith, who is very conservative and thus loves to throw it to his tight ends and Samuel might eat into Thomas’s target share. Those issues might be offset by the fact that this will be a better offense next year, so Thomas will be on the field more often and have more scoring opportunities. Thomas was also great down the stretch last year after starting the season slow, so he’ll have the chance to put up even better season-long numbers now that he has hit his stride. In his last 11 games Thomas had 58 catches for 564 yards and 5 touchdowns. That equates to 84 catches for 820 yards and 7 touchdowns in 16 games. Overall, Logan Thomas is being undervalued in fantasy this year because he doesn’t seem likely to take a massive step back, and for that reason, he’s worth drafting as a TE1.
