Najee Harris

RB, Steelers

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Najee Harris is a good player and the only good running back on the Steelers. Pittsburgh is likely going to switch to a highly run-heavy approach, so Harris should be getting over 20 touches a game. He’s probably a top-5 running back when you look purely at the number of touches he’s going to get. The issue with Harris is that he’s running behind an atrocious offensive line. The Steelers ranked 31st in run blocking according to PFF. They also lost their best offensive lineman in David DeCastro this offseason. At the end of the day, however, Najee Harris is a talented player who will be getting a ton of touches. If you combine James Conner and Benny Snell’s numbers from last year, you get 280 carries, 1,366 total yards, 10 total touchdowns, and 45 catches in 16 games. Harris is significantly better than both of those guys, so those numbers are certainly achievable. Overall, Najee Harris doesn’t have elite upside simply because he has such a bad offensive line, but he should still be a solid fantasy option with decent upside.
