Patrick Mahomes

QB, Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes should without a doubt be the first quarterback drafted in every league. If Patrick Mahomes didn’t rest in week 17, there’s a chance he would have been the top quarterback in fantasy last year. That would be his second time in three years, with the year he wasn’t the top quarterback being a year in which he got hurt and missed some time. Mahomes should be even better this year because the Chiefs completely rebuilt their offensive line. Their line went from their biggest weakness in the Super Bowl to one of their biggest strengths. Kansas City added an All-Pro guard in Joe Thuney, a Pro Bowl Left Tackle in Orlando Brown, a Pro Bowl guard in Kyle Long (though long is long past his prime), and a new center in Austin Blythe. Mahomes will have much more time to throw, so he has a chance to have his best season to date. Overall, Patrick Mahomes is a no-brainer as the top quarterback in fantasy. He has both the highest ceiling and highest floor amongst all quarterbacks.

Analytics-Based Projected Points: 425
