Ryan Tannehill
QB, Titans
Ryan Tannehill had a good season, but he seems likely to take a step up from what he was a year ago. Tannehill has been a very efficient player since joining the Titans (he had a 90.3 PFF grade last year), but Tennessee is very run-heavy which has limited Tannehill’s upside. The Titans seem like they’ll be taking a more pass-heavy approach this year, however, as they added Julio Jones. A.J. Brown is also healthy after playing last season with an injury on both of his knees. The injury was so serious that most players would have gone out for the year after week 2, but Brown fought through it. He should be much better this year. The Titans lost Jonnu Smith and Corey Davis, but a healthy A.J. Brown and Julio Jones are a better overall receiving core than an unhealthy A.J. Brown, Jonnu Smith, and Corey Davis. Tannehill’s efficiency combined with an elite receiving core and a likely uptick in passing volume make him primed to have a breakout year, so he’s a good option as a low-end QB1 with upside.
