Tee Higgins

WR, Bengals

1200px-U+25CB.svg.png

Tee Higgins had a really good rookie year, and he should be even better now that he’s experienced in the NFL and Joe Burrow is back to play a full season. If you remove week one where Higgins didn’t have a target and week 11 when Joe Burrow left early with his season-ending knee injury, Higgins had 40 catches for 603 yards and 4 touchdowns in 8 games with Joe Burrow. That’s 80 catches for 1,206 yards and 8 touchdowns in 16 games. Those are good numbers for any player, let alone a rookie receiver. It’s always been hard for rookie receivers to adjust to the NFL, so Higgins will likely take a jump in his level of play this year. Expect him to be significantly better than he was last year. Higgins isn’t likely to see a significant improvement in fantasy production, however, because of the fact that the Bengals brought in Ja’Marr Chase to be the top receiver in this offense. Chase will fill A.J. Green’s old role, and even as a rookie he’ll be much better than the run-down version of A.J. Green we saw last year. Higgins was the top receiver on the Bengals last year, and now that won’t be the case, so he should expect to end up with numbers similar to those that he had while Burrow was on the field last year.
