Travis Kelce
TE, Chiefs
Travis Kelce is without a doubt the top tight end in fantasy. Kelce has had five consecutive 1,000+ yard seasons and just had the best year of his career with 105 catches for 1,416 yards and 11 touchdowns in 15 games. That would be 112 catches for 1,510 yards and 12 touchdowns in 15 games. Those are jaw-dropping numbers for a tight end, and while Kelce is likely to regress this year, he’s still likely going to be the top tight end in fantasy. Kelce provides you with a massive positional advantage over your opponents because tight end is a notoriously tough position to find a good player in. Kelce is more valuable in PPR formats because he gets so many catches, especially for a tight end, but is still worth an early pick in standard. Kelce should be picked in the back-half of the first round in PPR and sometime in the 2nd round in standard formats. The only potential concern with Kelce is his age, as he is 31 and will turn 32 early in the season. Tight ends don’t typically last into their mid-to-late 30s and can fall off pretty quickly, so Kelce comes with a little more risk than he has in the past. Regardless, he’s an elite player and has shown no signs of slowing down, so his age isn’t a huge deal.
